Cystoscopy
Cystoscopy allows the doctor to examine the inside view of the bladder and urethra using a thin, flexible endoscope called a cystoscope. It can be used for both diagnostic purposes, such as identifying the cause of urinary symptoms like pain or blood in the urine, and for therapeutic treatments, such as removing small bladder stones or taking tissue samples for a biopsy. The scope is inserted through the urethra and gently into the bladder.
