Doctor’s Profile
Dr Kan obtained the fellowship in Urology from the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and was awarded the CH Leong Medal & Scholarship. He was elected distinguished young fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.
He pursued his post-fellowship training under the auspices of Mrs Esther Wu Memorial Fund Scholarship. During his stay in Egypt, he was trained in cancer surgery, reconstructive urology, and he then completed his training in urinary stone disease and continence care at University College London Hospitals in the UK.
Dr Kan is an active member in the field of functional urology and cancer care. He was invited as guest speaker at different occasions in Singapore, Nepal, Indonesia, Mainland China and Taiwan. He has been the local Course Director of the yearly urodynamic courses held in Hong Kong. In recognition of his contribution to the urology community, Dr Kan was awarded the UAA-Youth Section Fellowship Award.
He is a core member of the Hong Kong Urological Association, actively involving in promoting urological health to the general public.
